The third trailer for the forthcoming Venom flick has landed, and it looks even creepier than we'd all anticipated... which is EXCELLENT.
Due to be released in the US on 5 October, the film sees Tom Hardy step into the shoes of the titular supervillain - formerly known as disgraced reporter Eddie Brock, who gets infected by an alien parasite called a symbiote, which requires a host to live.
It won't be a part of the famed Marvel Cinematic Universe - which includes the Avengers, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther and Ant-Man films - and instead will form part of Sony's separate Marvel Universe.
The first trailer was released back in February, but while it certainly piqued our interest, it certainly wasn't giving too much away.
It then wasn't until April that we finally saw Hardy's highly anticipated transformation into Venom on camera, and it gave us all chills. Those teeth. And that tongue!
But thanks to this latest trailer we're being given even more to whet our appetite. Forget that brief scene with the tongue - this one's absolutely packed with hints of a dark, twisted take on the story, which was something that all of us had been hoping for.
Take this blink-and-you-miss-it moment, for instance:
I mean, Jesus.
Still no signs of Carnage, though, who was rumoured to appear in the film, played by Woody Harrelson.
Earlier this year Hardy opened up about the reason behind his choice to snap up the role - which you'd expect was purely because he knew just how badass a role it would be, but is actually much more sentimental than you'd probably expect.
Turns out, it's actually because Hardy's son is a huge fan of the comic book character.
In an interview with Variety at San Diego Comic-Con, Hardy said: "First and foremost I'm a dad and so one of the things you come across as a father often is a massive influx of stories often brought to you after Fireman Sam."
He continued: "My son came to me with a specific character that he absolutely fell in love with and then I started to take a look at it myself and then, as if by magic, a script appeared on the horizon which was awesome.
"Having done Dark Knight [Rises] with Chris [Christopher Nolan], I'd kind of done my superhero bit in some aspects.
"But when I was presented with the opportunity to play Venom, and that correlated with my son's love for Venom and how cool he was, I got really really excited and decided that I really wanted to do it."
That's very sweet and all, but judging from the trailer, Hardy's kid might need a big hug after seeing his dad like this...
